5 Dining Hall and Commercial Kitchen Purpose The dining hall will be the primary group eating facility at the Youth With A Vision Center. The 50 children and caretakers living within the village will dine in the hall on a regular basis for their main meals eaten as a large group. Breakfasts and occasional suppers will be eaten within the children’s individual homes for a more intimate family setting. The dining hall will accommodate tables and seating for up to 100 people to enable this space to also be used for larger YWAV seminars or to rent as a venue for public conferences or special events. The commercial kitchen will be equipped with modern cooking facilities in a secure environment. The kitchen will be built to accommodate approximately 6 cooks. It will be used by the children’s caretakers to prepare all regular meals, community volunteers cooking for the after-school nutrition program and catering for special events. Size Approx 2200 sq ft. exterior area with 400 sq. ft. fort/multipurpose equipment Features . Commercial grade kitchen with stoves, refrigerators, ovens, pantries . Dining area with up to 10 moveable tables (10 people each) . Optional portable stage area for presentations/ special events .
